my friend came over last night telling me that her car battery had died and she had to replace it. i put in a new battery but the cd player will not work not. it doesn't give me any error corde it just says "error". there is a CD in the player. two questions

1)any ideas on how to fix it?
2) something the dealer has to do?

the car is a 2000 honda civic

Most Honda radios have anti theft. If you kill power to the radio you need to type in a code for it to work. Check the owners manual to see if there is a code.

to hightek,

is the cd player a stock unit, factory radio or aftermarket?
