Anyone have any experience with putting a SNES into a vehicle without using a 12 to 110 converter? The SNES runs on 10 volts Dc. Im thinking of using a resistor to drop the voltage but I dont know how flexible the SNES would be voltage wise. I think I could get 10 down from 12 with a resistor but what happens when the car starts and rises to 14.4? Would it cook the SNES

find sum electrician to make you a constant 10 volt system if you know what i mean

What is the current rating? Check the stock power supply for the SNES. I build regulators for the PS2. If you want a good regulator board, I can fix one up for you with an adjustable regulator and voltage divider. Otherwise, check digikey for a zener diode DO-41/Axial leaded type, and dropping resistor if necessary. The zeners come in 10V, check Diodes, Inc or Microsemi.

Where could I find a schematic to make a regulated 10 volt adaptor? How much would the parts be? I could probably buy a voltage inverter but Im trying to conserve space (and money)
Super Nintendos do run on DC voltage so this couldnt be that hard to do could it?

Current rating on the wall adaptor is 850ma at 10Vdc
