Does anyone have any idea on how to disable the automatic close with the HU loses all power. In my Tahoe the radio does lose power until you manually shut it off or open the door. On the Tahoe if the Screen is up and turn off your car and get out..the HU folds down automatically. The problem is, the gear shift gets in the way and the HU shuts off due to a fail safe. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks for all the help!!

hit osd and scroll to system and then hit tilt it should be there. i had the same problem

I've modified the mounting kits to make them clear the shifter in those type of vehicles. I've also heard of others actually removing and bending the shifter itself slightly so that it clears.
