What gauge are you trying to put through the fire wall ? If it's only an 8 gauge try going through the driver's side steering wheel gromet ( if this year Intrepid has it ).

i guess i can look at it... ill be using 8 gauge i guess.... depending on the wire kit i get.... i was told that i needed some kind of compasitor becuase ill be pushing like 2000watts and ill screw something up with that kind of wattage....and i was told a compasitor or a high output altinator...  is this true?...

and if anyone has anyother ways ( prefurably easy) to get that wire through to the back of my car that would be awesome

If your running 2000 watts, your going to have to use 1/0 gauge to a distribution block. 8 gauge will heat up so fast on you that your going to smell something burning and it will be the carpet on fire.  The easiest way to get large wire from the front to the back is to go on the outside of the vehicle and run conduit to the back on the under carriage of the vehicle. This may seem like a lot of work, but it saves putting a 1 " hole in your firewall and also saves you hassles of running under the carpet through the back seat and into the trunk.

Some installer say yes and some say no to a cap. It's all up to you. It does help in my opinion, but other's say that to spend the money on upgrading your alternator instead.

If you get the " disco light " effect, then use a cap or upgrade to a HO alternator.
