Ok i listen to all rap and low hitting beats. Right now i have 2 15" hpo's from memphis in a ported box that i built. I used Winisd to design the box. I want to add 2 more 15"s and have a total of 4 subs walled off in my expedition right behind the second row. I know my car will have less air space and so i have no idea where i should tune my box. The box is going to be ported. If anyone can help me, it would be very appreciated, thankyou.

actually i wanna go with 6 15"s and all 6 are going to be seperated and have there own port, i dont know where to tune all of them. Also 2 of the subs are DVC 4 ohm and 4 of them are SVC 4 ohm. How should i wire them all up?What amps should i put on this setup and will i need any extra batteries? I currently have a 200 amp HO alternator. Should i get a yellow top battery for under my hood? Thankyou

You shouldn't.  Use all subs that are equal in voice coil/impedance configuration and come up with a total impedance that the amp can handle.

tune your box to 33 Hz. it's the frequecny at which the clitorios resonates. you'll get all the chicks.

Haha Soundmasta that would be awesome if i could do that. Stevdart, Should i just buy all 6 SVC subs? And sell the DVC's i have now?

You can come up with 1.33 ohms using six DVC 4's, wired series/parallel.  Six SVC 4's would amount to a low impedance of 0.67 in parallel, which would be too low, I would bet.  DVC 2's wouldn't work, either, because they would come out the same as the SVC 4's.  But really, I'm not sure how you're planning to power them (amp).

My other question was what amps should i put on these subs? I want to spend the least amount of money as possible. I was thinking 2 1000D's from memphis and have each amp power 3 subs, but then how would i wire 3 subs together? Could I buy 2 more jbl600.1's to add to the one i already have? I can get 6 SVC 4's for $600 shipped. I cant get anything for near that price around here so i wanna take advantage of that offer. If anyone has any ideas that would be AWESOME, thankyou

Alright, it sounds like you're in a little over your head, but we'll help you as much as we can if you're willing to learn a little. If you have 3 4-ohm subs (single voice coil), and you wire them all in parallel, then you get a 1.33 ohm load on the amp. Then, if you power each set of three with a Hifonics Brutus amp (they go for around $215, use e-bay or froogle.com), you'll be giving each sub around 333 watts RMS. that's alot of power....

So i would need 2 hifonics amps or 1? Ive heard those are good amps. Could you show me a wiring diagram with 3 subs 4ohm SVC? Im thinking i would power 1 amp to 3 subs and another amp to the other 3. How many watts rms does the brutus amp put out at 2ohms? and is it 1 ohm stable?

You would need 2 amps

ok...correction to my past post, the subs would probally be getting closer to 300 watts RMS.

The brutus puts out 1000 RMS at 1 ohm (it IS one ohm stable)

as far as wiring...go from the + on the amp to the + on all 3 subs, and then from the - on the amp to the - on all the 3 subs. Then do the same for the other amp. I'm not shure what those subs are rated for, 300 may or may not be enough power for what you want.

Each of the HPO's are 300wrms, plus im going to be porting the box so they dont need as much power.
