I was told I could use the factory inputs to the factory sub amp on an aftermarket amp, as long as I put rca ends on them. I'd run a new power lead, but would like to use the factory signal wires if possible. does anyone know which wires these are? Thanks

well, if your using the wires that acctually connect to the sub itself, you either need to buy an amp that has a high voltage input, or buy a live converter to step down the signal.  The signal that appears across the acctuall speaker terminals has already been amplified and is too large for standard rca inputs which are typically around 4 - 5 volts
