I am trying to help a friend out, i usually only work on vw's. Anyway how do i get the black plastic trim around the HU off of the dash without breaking anything, it goes all the way around the air controls as well if i remember right. There is already an aftermarket HU in there but it stopped working so she wants a new one put in.

Thanks alot

yea all you need is a pair of ford radio removal keys to take it out

actually you won't need the ford keys since there already is an aftermarket radio in there. you will need the keys for that radio. ex. Pioneer radio = pioneer radio removal keys.

i know how to get the HU out, what i'm asking is how do i get the trim piece around the HU and air controls out? I don't wanna break anything since its not my car. Do i just pull it out or are there screws somewhere, maybe hidden clips?

Thanks for the help

why do you need to take this off if you're just replacing the radio? you said she just wants a new radio put in, so take the old one out with the keys and put a new one in
