Amp mounting ideas?

I just bought a 2005 Mazda 6 Sedan, I want to put my amp and subs (2 10") in it. However, I would like to make it look nice as well as sound nice, and I want to keep the functionality of the trunk (i.e. I want to be able to get to my spare tire and be able to put at least some things in my trunk when needed). For example, I just sold my Jeep Liberty, I had the amp mounted under the passenger seat so when I needed to remove my box, I just unplugged the speaker wires and took it out, instead of having to disconnect my amp.

I had one person suggest either mounting the amp upside down to the bottom of the back window deck, or building a shelf out of metal in the same location. I've checked the main cabin, there is no room under a seat or anything and I'd really like to avoid mounting the amp on the box.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way (that looks professional) to mount an amp in the trunk?

Also, in the past, I've just put my box in the trunk and let it slide around a bit, is this common or do most people somehow mount their box so it is stationary?

well i suggest if the back seat of ur mazda folds down that u make an amp rack there that sits flush with the back of the seat... that will leave u more room to build ur book between the wheel wells in the trunk.. i have seen this done on a chrysler 300 C and it looked hot.. if you do this u can make ur box come out all the way to where ever the spare tire hole is... very simple and clean look if u do this

I took two 8"x4' boards, put some nice carpet over them... Placed everything I needed on there... And made a nice extention arm that is vertical on the side of the trunk to mount my amp... Nothing slides, it's permanent (No stealing...). And if you place it right, still get to the tire.

Takes some careful planning, some do-it-yourself knowledge, and a small budget for a trip to your local Menards.
