Hey guys. I was going to build triple sub box for 3 thunder8000 10"s. I wanted to know what do you think would happen if a liquid damping was applied to the inside of the box. Would it be a waste? I was planning on either making a particle board or particle board/fiberglass box. Thanks for the replies in advance.
i have sprayed rubber undercoating in some of my sealed boxes with good results. u really can't hardly tell much differance.try mdf wood with plenty of braceing. i usally divide speakers in sealed boxes. didnt know if u are going ported or sealed

Thanks for the reply, sounds good. I think I may go with a sealed box. What exactly is the difference between divided boxes and communal boxes?
if you are not running subs in mono u need to have a seperate chamber for each speaker.all of my 10's are running mono off same amp and they are in a behind seat box in a standard cab so i didnt divide them,so i could get more airspace. u dont have to have a divider in a ported box but i prefer to have each in its own in a ported box.
ps. i have had very good results with the slotted boxes that kicker reccomends . they have a specs manual that has all the info u need. but sealed is always hard to go wrong with.
