I have a big amp that I use on my bass. I wanted to know would it be a good idea for me to mount the amp on the back of the woofer box?

In my opinion, no, for two reasons. One, it is possible for the vibrations of the sub enclosure walls to damage the amp (especially if it is poorly braced) and two, it makes it easier for a thief to walk away with your setup if they only have to grab one thing. Mount the amp someplace else.
