Subject: 3 amps and remote turn on?

HI:

I have : 1 head unit, 1 EQ, 2 components speakers (front/rear), 3 amps (1100Watt), 3 caps.

My question is, can i stack 3 amps on top of each other (pro: no wires are cross over and suspends noises, cons: will produce alot of heat)?

Do i need a "relay" for remote turn on "blue wire" for 3 amps, since it the reciever produce limited of current?

thanks,

Yes, you will. Don't forget, you'll have to turn the EQ on too.

And yes, you can stack three amps together, just make sure there is some space between them with air moving thru there .

I have a short wire jumping from one amp to my other amp with no relay or anything else, has been like that for almost a year now with no problems.

Yes, but if you use more than two components, it's always recommended to use a relay so you don't fry the transistor for the remote turn on inside your head unit.

You will only need 1 relay if you get the 30 amp version from radioshack.

And I would put at least 3" of space between each amp, to put computer fan in your amp rack to help circulate the air.
