’04 Mustang Mach MP3, remote + mute?

I have an 04 Mustang that has the Mach MP3 Stereo installed. I have been trying to figure out how to do several things with this particular unit:

1.  Install Pioneer Amp/Bandpass box combo into car properly
     2.  Wire up mute/ATT wire from phone kit to radio if possible
     3.  Install Power Antenna and have it properly trigger on power on.

1. I ran the main power lead to the trunk along with a remote trigger wire, and am at the point where I need to determine the right hookup point with this unit. I contacted Visteon & a local Auth. Service center, and acquired the pinouts for the back of the MP3 head. (They refer to it as the 'Worldplug'), and I notice that the unit does/shoud have a socket for the 'AudioPhile' amp system, but no real explanation in regards to hooking up an aftermarket unit. I'm unsure of what the trigger wire needs to see at this time (+/-) -- Not in front of amp right now.  I read a prev. post about an 02-03 Mustang where someone suggested taping into the switched current on the back of the deck...
       Is this the best idea or does anyone else have any suggestions?

2. My Nokia car kit provides a mute wire that I prev. had attached to another desk's ATT trigger. Worked great, though, I don't know what that trigger does.. (supply +/-, etc.) I know I can throw a meter/probe on it and find out, but the question is -- Does anyone know of a proper pin/wire to attach on this MP3 deck to trigger a radio mute?

3.  The DirectTech's specs do not list an power antenna lead off the unit, what would be the suggested trigger wire instead?

As I mentioned, I do have the schematics for the radio/pinouts, but the pins are generally designed for the proprietary systems, if anyone thinks that they could make use of it, I'll scan it and post.

Use a LOC from PAC or Soundgate to tap into the output of the amplifier. This will give you RCA outputs for the amplifier

If the MUTE wire sends (-) signal then wire a SPDT relay like this:

85 : MUTE (-) wire
86 : IGNITION (+)
30 : half of stereo IGN wire
87a: Other half of stereo IGN wire
87 : NOT USED

What this does is when you get a (-) signal on 85, this opens the connection between the IGN wire and this in turn should cut the ign. power for the stereo. When the (-) lifts, then the radio will then turn back on. All your presets and volume will stay the same because your only removing the IGN, not the constant.

Use any wire that has switched ignition for the remote turn on lead for the amplifier. Some LOC have a remote turn on lead in them so you don't need to run a wire to the back of the vehicle where the amplifier is.
