I have a few questions. I am working on a research report concerning mobile electronics products. I am interested in the aftermarket, but I am currently focusing on factory-installed mobile e. I have talked to many suppliers, but I would really like some feedback from some serious audiophiles.
1. Products and Emerging Technologies. What are some emerging products and technologies that are impacting factory-installed speakers, head-units, and amps?
2. Supplier Strategies and Tactics. What are some of the strategies and tactics suppliers are using to gain sales in this market? For example, suppliers are incorporating auto functions into head-units, embedding themselves in the assembly process, etc.
3. Vendors. Which vendors are winning and why? Which vendors are losing share and why? Is Bose winning? Who has higher perceived value - Bose of Harman? What do you think is going on with Delphi and Visteon?
4. Issues, Forces and Trends. What are some of the issues and other trends that are impacting the market?
Your comments, suggestions, diatribes, and ravings are appreciated.

Well I love any thing that has to do with marketing, advertising and questions like these. Simple go "directly" to the manufactures.. Go to the departmeny of technologies, they are simple and easz persons to talk to. They are only geeks and they would love to here what you have.

Researcher, we are an aftermarket audio forum. There is not much interest in factory-installed systems here.......except for the constantly bewildering problem with those Bose units that keep escaping from the dumpsters out back! ]but I wrote:

They are the first ones to upgrade to an aftermarket system. It is the wannabe serious audiophiles you want to get feedback from. ;) ------------- Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
