whats the real deal with the system, fronts are 4x6 mids and tweet pods, rears are DVC 6x9's, one lead seems to be a low/mid and the other lead seems to be high only? need to replace the rear blown 6x9's and the new kickers i have dont sound right(loud enough when hooked up to the low/mid leads.
also, how to add an amp (with built in high levels inputs) for subs and b4 or after the fact amp. also i have an extra amp for the 6x9's if needed..
any spec sheets or wiring diagrams would be appreciated. thanks Steve
You'd have to get signal for the amp before the factory amp. It's easy enough to get behind the radio, if you have a Metra harness handy to reference. Since this would be a low level signal- before the factory amp- you shouldn't need an LOC.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
you are correct; the rear 6x9's have separate inputs for the highs and mids/lows. You can easily integrate aftermarket speakers in one of two ways; you can hook up just the mids/lows to the new speakers and let the front stage handle the highs; or you can choose a speaker where the lead running to the tweeter is exposed on the outside of the magnet. Infinity; Polk; Pioneer; MTX, these are just a few I know for a fact run the wire to the tweeter this way (I don't believe the kickers do). Then just clip the wire and run your mids/lows to the main connection on the back of the speaker and run your highs to the lead that runs directly to the tweeter on your new coax speaker.

Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

i think i know what you mean but i havnt seen a metra harness for the low level plug b4.. from what i have researched so far i will get a better signal at the radio vs. just b4 the amp. i've just been outta the installing scene for the last 2-3 years over the past 10yrs of installing. does anyone know the exact wire colors for fr rr, l+r?

yup that was my though on it too. not an issue to swap them out for a different pair. now my only thought is how and if i want to port the rear deck for the subs..
thanks Steve
