boston Z6, mbquart qsd216

jl 10w7 sub

2x jl 300/2, 500/1 amps

do i need EQ (kenwood KGC-6042A) better or worse?

IMO, if you need an EQ then something's probably not right with your system & you'll end up fixing the symptom, not the problem. You've got some good gear there - why would you need an EQ? Doesn't that HU have a parametric built in?

nar...this one doesn't have eq built in...
