Power Car Audio in the House

I was wondering what all what i need to power car audio equipment inside of the house. I know i cant just plug it in. I also need to know what do i do for the antenna my car deck wont turn on unless the antenna is plug in. Please point me in the right direction i tried google but nothing helps.

the reason why it dosent turn on is beacuse the antenna ground the deck, so if you ground the deck it should work.

You need a power supply. Basically it is not worth it because for the price of the supply, especially if you are running amps, you can get a decent home stereo system.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

i am in the bahamas and i am trying to setup a lil car stereo/basic installation shop in my garage i want to be able to show potential customers how the stereo functions before they purchase. i see that alot of the people that use this site are shop owners so i would love to know if the showcase their porducts by powering them up.

In a garage you can just use a standard heavy-duty battery.  Keep the charger handy!  Of course you'll get a bit more output when the system is powered by an alternator on a running engine, but for a demo the battery will do the job.  Once installed in a vehicle, the system will come to life anyway due to cabin gain, acoustics, etc., so no matter how much power supply you set up outside the vehicle it should not sound the same, or as good, as the installed system will.  Good luck with your shop.
