have a 760w boss 2 channel boss amp bridged to two 10" MTX thunder 8000 subwoofers.  What are the best settings for high pass, low pass, input, and phase shift.  Be specific please!!

High pass does not matter, it should be on LPF if there is a switch.   the knob for LP should be between 50-100hz.   I prefer below 80hz   the phase shift should be at 0 unless you are interting the subs then set it to 180.
the imput is going to get touchy.   You are not going to get alot of power out of this amp   500watts MAX!   so you are going to be starving the subs for power.   Honestly I would recomend a better amp to run these subs, but if you do decide to use it I would not set the gain over 3/4   you will begin to clip close to there if not before, and that wil lead to a very short life on your subs.
Again I would really suggest a stronger amp, by a brand such as kicker, MTX, JBL, and such

Great advice Jeff. I doubt a Boss amp rated at 760 watts will do 500 watts, unless its peak power, which it might hit once a month or so..

just because it says 760 does not mean it can do it. Boss never reports the right specs. they always over rate there stuff. all cheap amp companies do that. thats why it was suggested to go with a name that has a good reputation.

That amp likely is 760 watts max, so most likely your looking at 380 or so RMS.
