Whats your opinions on this sub? I'm looking at last years model. I can get one for $140. I'll be running a phoenix gold 500.1 at 2ohm mono. I just want to hear your reviews on this particular sub. I would probably put it in a vented enclosure. I have only heard 2 10" L5 subs in a sealed enclosure and did not really like the output. The kid was running a kicker 600.1 on the 2 10". Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you will get more output with a vented box but if you were displeased with the output of 2 10" subs you will mostly fell the same way about a single 12" sub same make and model i would suggest a single 15" sub www.ikesound.com has some great deals

well I bought the S12L5 today. I'm planning on a vented enclosure. If I don't like it then I'll add a second one and go from there.

you will be happy with this speaker. though if you've never built a speaker box before i'd spend the money to have a local customm shop do it. the box really makes the sub, nomatter what kind of speaker it is.
