I got a Mercury cougar, and I plan to get two kicker 12's. I was looking at a hatch box to try to conserve space. Any opinions on which box you think sounds better?

To best conserve space fiber glass is your best bet. But when the sub's cone is pointing out of the box seal it but if ya want to flip it and have the cone facing into the box port it.

That's a new one on me... And what are your reasonings for this kind of statement?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Me too. I've never seen where it made any difference, except for cosmetics.

Just personal experience on my part. I feel it muffles the volume of it. Usually makes no difference for the average listeners but the SPL guys are a little nuts.
