I just recently bought an audiobahn A6004T to power my front and rear speakers. My front and rear rca's from the HU go to this, and then I have a set of rcas running from this amp to my sub amp. Everything sounded great until one day I after I took the amp out, to hide some of the wiring a little better, and put it back in and I closed my trunk with the HU on and had a loud high pitch buzzing sound come from the sub and rear speakers. Unfortunately the banana plugs going to the sub had touched the metal on the trunk lid. Well I fixed this but ever since then when I change stations, change tracks on a cd, or turn the radio down to 0, I always hear this loud pop from the rear speakers and the sub with the car on or off. I believe I have it narrowed down to the rca outputs on the a6004T amp. When I unplug the rcas from that output, there is no pop from the rear speakers. If rcas are plugged into it, the pop comes back. I've checked all the rcas cables and they're fine. When I plug the rcas from the HU straight into the sub amp and output from there to the a6004t everything is fine. So, any suggestions here? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Sounds like you fried your amp. If it's under warranty take it back to wherever you bought it and see if it can be repaired. If it's not under warranty take it to a good car audio shop for a repair estimate. Do not be surprised if you are quoted more than the amp is worth to repair it. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Does anyone know of a good site with amp repair information? I've seen a couple where you can purchase a cd with the info, but are there any with that information readily available.
