what kind of sound do you want?  What kind of music?  volume vs sound quality?

Read the manual, then find out the hertz your music preferences tend around. I tuned my box for my VQ at 45hz, the same as my remote bass knob. I forget how big that is now, its not on the manual though, its in between specs. I listen to all kinds of music, from hip hop to House n Trance.
I have it sealed and it really does sound good. With the Mid VQ in, it really sounds clean and tight.

With no VQ in its nearer SPL setup sounding loose, with its excursion near max, but at 45hz...... its really really loud. At lower hz bellow 45, the bass gets cleaner, but around that, spl is lost dramatically.
But it has a narrower range in its setup,

U got a Kappa Perfect VQ! You'll be fine! The VQ really really works. Use a broom handle to get the VQ out with the pin, n start the painstaking work to hear how the VQ work. Seriously though, watch it, its hard heavy work.
