Howdy,

My cousin is looking for two sets of information. The first...where can he learn about hydraulics (ones to turn alternators) and two, where all on the internet can we find alternators? The local Autozone, and O'Reilly's are of no use, and the local alternator rebuilding shop looked at us crazy when we told him the amp draw we need....roughly 500 amps. We'd prefer a little more, but 500 min. He's driving a 95 Ranger, so there's no room under the hood for additional alternators. THat's why he needs to know about hydraulics. All help is appreciated, and yes, I know we are crazy.

And just so you know, finding something with that much amperage isn't going to come cheap - you'll be paying $500 MINIMUM for something of that magnitude, by my guess...
