I have the "premium" Monsoon system in my Jetta and still running the original speakers in the rear. The left rear speakers both at RANDOM times play like they're blown and are way distorted and at other times play like they're brand new. They aren't the best quality but I think it's weird that they'll go crazy at random times. I've checked and re-checked the wiring but nothing seems to change. Any ideas boys? :-P

Sounds like an electronics problem not a speaker problem.  I'd get the amp and HU checked out.

i was planning on getting an aftermarket HU soon and i have a Diamond Audio amp i was planning on installing too
