Hi guys Im a Newbie and I got a question for the Gurus ..
I was going to replace the rear speakers (6x9) of my 2002 Cavalier with a JBL GTO926...BUT
The OEM speakers uses 4 Wires and my new ones only 2..I this because there is a sort of amp or crossover somewhere in my car ?
Any of you guys know what colors belong to what ? ..I assume one pair is for the tweeter and another one for the Mid....
TIA guys

yes if there are 4 wires going to each speaker you have the premium sound system and cant really use them unless the JBL's are bi-ampable....

you can.... bypass the amp and put in a new amp.... replace the head unit (pricey on those) and rewire..... or just run one of the sets.. hi/low... i don't think they make any kind of a conversion unit to splice them together,, but i haven't seen anythign ------------- Bad Boys Customs
