I am getting back into this again as some of you know an I know who use to make very good sounding amps for SQ and with the way a lot of companys are going it's all about flash and inflated power an :( poor sounding amps. So who still makes a worth while amp that will give me the best sound or am I better off with my old hifonics Vulcan VII amp to drive my Bostons. The reason I ask is I have gotten in home theather an accurate sound has become very important to me. And I know that I'm not the only one who likes good sound with powerfull accurate bass. :DThat why I am thinking about getting rid of my fosgate 12s for a good JL audio 10 in a sealed box.
I tried to use the search function but I was not able to find out any thing there, usless I did not type the right thing.
What's your budget? Really good amps cost real money...

I'll spend 300-500 on a good amp I know there are amps that well surpass that price I would perfer 4ch. with about 50 true rms, per ch.IF need be I can spend more just have to talk the wife into it. I already have the bd1000.1 for use with the a sub. As it is I have no problem geting rid of my fosgate sub and amp for accurate sound well as close as I can get in a vehicle environment . I also have a Elclipse HU that I got in 96 so I have a clean signal. And I also have Boston acoustics seperates that I really like form my old system. I thought I would add this other info so if it came up. Thanks
Here's one from Eclipse.
Here's one from Zapco.
Here's a Memphis amp...
Here's some from Audiobahn...
NOT!!! (Just wanted to see if you were paying attention)
Those above named amps are all good choices (except the Audiobahn... I really was kidding about that one), and should fall right in your desired price range, maybe a little less for some, depending on from where you source them... None of these items can be bought on the internet (at least bought on the internet with a warranty), and this is one thing in common with better, more respectable manufacturers. If you can buy it on the internet, the company is probably a money-whore, and does not care about the product they sell...
Buy from a brick-and-mortar! Yes, it'll cost more, but you will be getting what you paid for.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
