By putting them in a serie does it make it hit harder, or does it just save the speaker. I went to Moble One here in covington and they said the way I put my subs the way that i was told made it sound like crap. Don't know how i put them, but i know it hits harder the way they old me to put it.
I have a American Pro 600w 4ch And I have them bridge out, and it sounds very good. And should i put a active Sub Crossover or not
Thanks

Doug, in your previous post you were referring to an isobaric configuration as series. These are two very different things. Series is a wiring configuration between two or more speakers and/or voice coils. An isobaric configuration is mounting two woofers as shown below. Just to make sure we're all on the same page which of these two are you referring to?

If you're wiring two or more speakers or voice coils in series (higher impedance, more resistance), the amplifier will not run as hard as it would if they were connected in parallel (lower imepdance, less resistance). If you were to mount the woofers in an isobaric configuration like above, you can get away with using a much smaller enclosure, but will not have the same amount of air movement (output) as you would if you mounted each in it's own enclosure or in a typical fashion as shown below.

If you'd like, you can pass over sometime this weekend (not before 10 AM) and I'll explain the differences to you.
Ok Thanks. i am allways at mikes house so i have off sat i might come overthere. I went to audiobahn website and i saw i have them in a series parallel but not sure i have the pic at my house of the way i did it so i will see if the pics i got ffrom that website is the way i have it.....
I am interested in this kind of thing. I am trying to become more into this kind of thing.
Thanks
