DVC subs at 2ohms - mono or 2ch

I'm looking into 2 configurations:

 

Kicker KX550.2 Two Channel Amp,

2 Kicker CVR10's 4ohm, DVC's wired parallel for 2ohms each,

wired so each speaker is on its own channel

 

or

 

Kicker KX600.1 Mono Amp,

2 Kicker CVR10's 2ohm, DVC's wired series for 4ohms each,

wired in parallel for a 2ohm mono load

 

So basically what I’m asking is what would be the better configuration for two subs, mono or 2ch.
