Im planning on purchasing an Image Dynamics IDMAX12 D2, which is of course means its a DVC 2 ohm per coil subwoofer, from a friend (pretty much brand new but he needs money) and am wondering if its possible to wire that sucker up in a 2 ohm total load or if i should just wire it in a series for 4 ohms... anyone know if this is possible and/or how to do it?

You can either get a 1 ohm load or a 4 ohm load with this woofer.

You got a GTO1201.1 for $150?  What, was it off the back of a truck?  That is a great amp.  Run your sub at 4-ohms and it'll be fine.
