hey can anyone give me a general idea or plan for a vented /ported box for 2  10'' type e apline subs

Alpine only lists sealed enclosure volumes which are .8-1.7ft^3. You may want to call Alpine and talk to a tech, they may have have other suggestions. You can download the owners manual from the site, look under the "tech" link. https://www.alpine1.com.

Actually the range of volume per sub is 0.6 to 1.25 cu ft for the 10" SWE1041.  Keep this subwoofer in a sealed box for best performance.  Although a lot of subs can be used in either sealed or ported, this one needs sealed only.
