Hey all. I am planning on running 2 MTX amps powering 4 Polk db 525s (rated at 45w rms)and 1 Polk MM2084 (rated at 200w rms).

I thought I was set on the Thunder 404 for the 525s and a 421D for the sub. I realized the other day that I could instead move up to a TA3404 for the 525s and a TA2301 for the sub for another $20. I know I will be losing some power on the sub. If I have to, I can go with the TA3401. Should I go with this year's models as opposed to the Thunders from a few years ago? I could care less about the lights, more the sound and the cooling. These will be a tight space with little ventilation.

Recommendations?

If it's a tight space, make sure that the amps that you choose ( the new ones ) are going to fit. They are physically taller than the older series so keep this in mind.
