What are you talking about?  Connecting your subwoofer to an AC outlet or using AC power for your amps?

take any household plug and strip back the wires and connect it to the terminals on your sub then just plug it in; household AC power runs ~120V at 60Hz.  For a 4 ohm  woofer this would be equal to roughly 3600 watts; if my math holds correct.   We do this at the shop with old subs; it's great fun and we usually take wagers on how long they can last; most don't make it past 10 seconds.
