"Satellite radio" and "audiophile" are contradictions in terms... Satellite radio (Siruis and XM alike) is compressed to within an inch of it's life, which necessarily EXCLUDES fidelity. That's like looking for a good quality MP3. They don't exist! I am not the only person to feel this way, either. Avoid it, if your first priority is fidelity.

Paying for compressed (crappy and incomplete) audio... What won't they think of next?

Here is a recent argument/discussion on this very subject...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Its a stock head unit.  I am looking at the owners manual which states Audiophile Satelliete ready am/fm stereo in dash six cd radio.  I want to hook sirius satellite up.  I'm assuming I need a tuner to plug into the radio and the radio is capable of displaying the information?

If thats not correct please help.  Also would like to know what siruis tuner to get?  They all look like the are made for specific brands of radios, I.e. kenwood, pioneer,  alpine etc.

you need to go to there Ford dealership and get the factory Sirius tuner for that vehicle. That is the only option out there at this time unless you want to FM modulate into the radio and have a seperate display, and than the sound quality gets even worse.
