can i run that wire from the fuse box ? it will be the fuse for the radio

The point to the remote wire, is to turn your amp on and off, when you turn your radio on or off. If you hook it strait to a hot point, in this case the fuse box, it will constantly stay on. Unless you wanna run a switch in line with the wire, to which you could manuely turn the amp on and off. The simplest way would be to just hook it up to the radio out remote lead. If the radio dosen't have one, I guess you could run it like that, but with a switch ran inline with it. Hope this help~~

what i was thinking was the fuse that is used for the radio. it only power's up when you turn on the key. will this setup be ok to run a sub amp a soundstream #502

You just have to find a wire that is hot only when you turn the ignition to ACC. There should be one going to your factory radio that you could tap into. You would then have to run a separate wire from your head unit to your amplifier to turn it on. If you are talking about the fuse for your amp you need to run a power cable from your amp straight to your battery's positive terminal with a fuse close to the battery.

Your amp has 3 terminals. Batt Grnd Rem. the Batt must be hooked up to constant 12 volts to the cars battery with suitable power wire. 50-150 watts 10-guage, 150-300 watts 8-guage, 300 + watts 4 guage. The GRND should be hooked to chasis ground with the same guage as the 12 volt lead. 3rd the REM should be hooked to the amp remote lead from your aftermarket head unit, or if your using your stock unit use the red wire wich is ignition switched.

The fuse for the radio is a switched source. It will fineto use that as your remote line.
