Is there any disadvantage to using multiple crossovers in a system?  For example, if a HU has a 12db low-pass filter at 300 Hz, and you run that to your sub, could you then have an electronic crossover at, say, 100 Hz?  Wouldn't that help the sub out by blocking more high frequencies?  What if the amp has one as well?  Would it be beneficial to use all 3 or just one?
