Im VERY new to car audio you could say so any help would be great, I made a little diagram of my system so far and then I am stuck, I have a 700watt 4 channel kicker sx700.4 amp I would like to put to use for new speakers,I have a big yukon so I have a lot of space to fill with sound, I need advice on some good speakers for the 4 doors, I would like to keep it kicker probably, I have ran new speaker wires through all the doors to my new amp, they just arent hooked to any speakers yet.
Should I use crossovers, or is it not neccesary? If I do use crossovers that come with a lot of component speaker sets, do I just hook thge wire i ran (ie= right front speaker wire, to the crossover, then the crossover goes to the speaker?) I have heard of people using coax speakers in the back, i'm not sure what the difference is from component speakers. Run 2 component sets or 1 set and then coax speakers in the rear? As you can see I am somewhat lost on this part.
Heres is the little diagram I made

Oh 1 last thing about the crossovers,  the kicker sx700.4 amp has digital crossovers built in so would that eliminate the need for other crossovers?

that will take some fabrication i would suggest sticking with the 5 1/4 and putting coaxels in the front and rear and use the crossover on your amp there is a lot of kicker gear for cheep at www.ikesound.com

if you wanna keep it all kicker and you want it to sound good all threw ur whole car you gotta get some components at least for the front were you are gonna be sitting all the time, if not for the back too, you could go with a set of components in front and coaxles in the back, but if i was you and i had the money i would get components for both from and back becuse depending on what kind of yukon you have, you probley already have components in there so you wont have any trouble mounting the tweeters, you already got the amp to power them right too, the components are going to sound better than coaxles hands down.

yes i agree components will sound better  i was pricing componets and for under 300 you can get componets in the front and the rear at www.ikesound.com so i would have to recommend  componets and you will use the crossovers that come with the componets not the cross over on the amp i retract my first post

Today I went in a rewired my headunit found out that the place I took it originally had the remote turn on wire for the factory bose system going to the antena wire, so after making the proper connections I can say the 4 bose door speaker in my truck are VERY loud now but it still doesn't sound the way I would like it, its like a flat sound perhaps I need some midbass?  Also all the way up the speakers become somewhat distorted, would new components solve that problem?

well even though it is bose, it is still the stock stuff in ur truck, almost anything that you put in there is gonna be better, the stock speakers on cars are ment to be listened to at lower volumes not at high as it can go. if you really want somethin that is gonna make ur car sound nice then i would say go with a 3-way component set up, they are a bit pricey and you would have to have somethin fabricated to hold the extra 4 inch speaker but it will sound better than almost any component set you can buy.
