The antenna plug on my car (honda prelude) was cut off. So right now I cannot connect the antenna to the back of the radio. Is it possible to buy a new plug and crimp it on the original cable.

I'd like to avoid buying a new cable if at all possible.

I havent crimped one on but I have soldered new ends on...I just bought a cheap adapter an cut the end off then stripped back the outer rubber and took all the shielding wire and twisted it together then stripped back the center pin wire and soldered that to the car antena.. I used shrink tube to cover it all...I didnt hear any interference or anything...

I guess you could crimp it..But if you have access to one soldering would be the way to go...

I was just about to ask if you would hear interference. I guess I'll take a stab at it if i'm not able to find a plug or a crimper
