has anyone had trouble using a metra adapter for the speaker wires? when i hook all of it up to my amp i cant get seperation. i am wondering if the grounds on the factory wires are tied together.  does anyone know???

No it's not common ground. Describe what equipment you have and how you've got it wired. When you talk seperation do you mean your bal and fade don't work?

yes when i hook all of it up and go to set my gains on lets say the front chanel it does it for all 4 speakers

Make sure your amp doesnt have 2 channel 4 channel switch. Double check each of the speakers with a 9volt battery and make sure you have seperation that way. could be the amp.
