hey my gf's dad is trying to put new speakers in his cr-v's front doors. he is pretty stubborn and is trying to do it without cutting off the factory harness that the stock speakers plug into do you guys have any suggestions i can tell him . i told him to just cut the harness off and put new ends onto the wires but no he wants to go to the junkyard and buy stock speakers to take the factory harness off and attach it to his speakers........if he connects new connecters to the speaker wires will he be able to re-attach the factory speakers if he ever wants to sell the truck? and does any one know what this harness looks like cause i haven't seen it. i put his headunit in for him and he was trying to help and he made the process last for 2 hours so i haven't even looked at his speakers lol.....please help
Why doesn't he just splice into the existing wire about 2" from the plug and wrap the new wire around the splice & solder the connection.

exactly, either splice into wires without cutting harness or buy harness plug at circuit city for like 10 bucks and you'll make sure it's in phase this way too
