Some HI-Tech questions

Hi,

I've got some, what I think are, hi-tech questions... and I'm hoping someone here can help.... maybe via these boards or personal email, I believe some of the questions are too large to list here but I'll explain in brief format the questions/situations that I have, then if someone would like to follow up, I'd appreciate it very much.

I've got a schematic on a Bose system and have figured out the wiring but have the following concerns;

a) are my + and - hookups correct in regard to differential wiring (inputs to Bose amp from aftermarket CD player)

b) front mid-woofer and tweeter wiring (according to a schematic I have, I don't need a cross over so I've wired the tweeters and woofers (twisted together) running off the front channel (left and right).

c) I'm having a slight hum that seems to change w/engine speed (slight noise but still there).

If you have the schematic, a) should be pretty self-evident.

b) you need a crossover.  You cannot leave it like you describe or you will blow the tweeter.

c) This usually indicates a ground problem.

What's your vehicle?  What Bose system is installed?  Is your schematic a factory wiring diagram or a pencil sketch off the Internet?  What HU are you trying to integrate?  How was it installed (wiring harness hack or professional adapter?)  I suggest a couple of options.  1, take the vehicle to a good shop and pay someone to help you get your install fixed correctly.  2, remove all the Bose parts and replace them as it can be difficult to integrate aftermarket heads with Bose speakers, and Bose usually sounds like ass anyway.
