I just bought a new car its a 03 Silverado SS and Im trying to figure out which set up would be better 2 ohm or 4ohm subs. Im looking at Kicker 10L7's I want SQ but I also want some thump to it since Im coming from a car with a PG XMax 15 in it. I  want to be able to use my back seat. Plus Im new to all of this 2 ohm and 4 ohm stuff.

it is going to depend on your amp to determine what subs you would use.

The amp that Im going to use is Orion 1200D.  My other question is are there any subs that are going to sound better in my truck then the 10L7's.  Like I said I would like it to thump but I also want SQ.

Two 4 ohm DVC's should sound great with that amp.  (wired in parallel)

if you looking for any SQ at all kicker should not be on your list for subs. also you want to keep your backseat .the L7's need alot of air space. i would suggest a few other subs.#1 soundstream Van Gogh 10"s or12"s #2 infinity perfects 10"s or 12"s . you also want hard hitting bass .you can use 2 dual 4 ohm subs .to get the power from the orion amp you will lose some SQ from running at 1 ohm  you can checkout the Van Gogh subs at www.soundstream.com

If you want awesome sq subs with great bass, I'd suggest Image Dynamics IdMax subs!
