Not sure on that one. IMO: I have never liked bandpass boxes. In theory, they are cool. In reality, I can smoke one with a nicely tuned ported/vented enclosure. I have worked with many pre-fab bandpass boxes over the last 15 years now and I will tell you this, as probably most pro-boxbuilders would: if you want a bandpass box to REALLY work for your speaker, you have to build it from scratch. pre-fab bandpass boxes are generic moulds and not designed specifically to enhance the output of a certain speaker. Speaking from experience, it takes a lot of math and time to build a true 4th or 6th order bandpass box. The ending result however, as I stated earlier, still won't stand up to a properly tuned vented enclosure.

Anyone ever build a transmission line box?

Team Toxic Bass just built me a Snail Shell, which is a TL for my RE XXX 12 that I just got, with the Brutus pushing 1500 watts to it it kills the wifes Civic, my eyeballs rattle.
Ive have had to add 2 more layers of eDead in the trunk to quite the rattles, I now have 5 layers of deadening material in my car

Im getting it metered next weekend

TLs work great if you have the room for them.  FAR better than any BP enclosure with much higher SQ.  I built TL enclosures for my home.  Let us know how you like it, skold.

Whats the best bandpass box? A busted one in my opinion. Never have like bandpass. If the plexilook is what you after, why not build a sealed enclosure with a glass window in the back?
