Hey i was tryin yo install an alpine head unit into my cousins car(2005 Hyundai Tucson) the other day when i connected the headunit everything worked fine but no sound. then i found out there was a factory amp in the spare tire well and also a factory 8in sub/amp under the front passanger seat. So is there anyway i can bypass this amp? or do i have to run speaker wire from the head unit to each individual speaker. well please let me know thanks

there should be a factory amp turn-on wire. Should be GREEN/ orange wire in the factory harness, hook that to the remote turn on from your stereo.

If that doesn't fix your problems then you should be able to bypass the amp by unplugging the harnesses from the amp and wiring the inputs directly to the outputs; shouldn't need to mess with running speaker wire through doorjambs and all that.

If you haven't cut the wires yet you can go to your local sound shop and ask them if they have the metra harness for your car.  Some of Metra harness allow you to use the factory amps with an after market head unit if possible.

i guys ,i have shop manual for tucson,i send to you the wiring diagram for radio.give me few days. for wire to batt the factory run wire under fender (in driver kick panel).if tuscon is auto trans make hole in cluch support. if manual make a hole right side of clutch pedal. watch for brake booster.the best way to run the wire is under fender but is very long .
