Hey guys, I just got a 96 Lincoln with the JBL sound system. It has a factory amp and 6-speakers, but no cd player. Whats the best solution to have a cd player and the ability to add a sub/amp combo later. Can I find a cd changer that will work with my head unit and have RCA's out to a sub? Any help and ideas are appreciated.

I believe your amp is in the trunk bolted to the rear deck. Best way is to bypass. Metra's 70-5600 should do the trick. Doubt you'll find a stock changer with RCA outs. Better sound with after market anyway. Try to get a player with adjustable subwoofer RCAs if you can.

Found the amp, will find the 70-5600 tommorrow. With this kit I keep the four channels right? I only lose the two 6x9's in the back. Anyways thanks for the answer, I was getting frustrated with Circuit City's "knowledgeable" staff.posted_image

Another example of why I believe "Box Stores" will eventually leave car audio, they don't know the cars and it's only going to get worse. Say Goodnight Circuit, By by Best Buys, it's been fun.

yea but as long as they have money they will be in the buisness. We lost one of our head installers to best buy.. He wanted more stable hours.

REWIRE IT ALL. FIRST. Don't pull your hair out doing it any other way. To much room for factory equip failure. I have been dealing with one of those damn things for weeks. Its been called "A pain in the ass for ADVANCED installers". Just my advice, and you may have 8 spkrs. not positive though.
