I locked the previous thread and I can tell you it was NOT, repeat NOT locked based on anything you posted, Dave.  It was locked because I thought your post had made a point that required no further comment by any of the yahoos out there who want to break the law and endanger others and I wanted you to have the last word.  Mr. Gutkin is simply wrong in his assumptions.

OK, lets keep this board clear & clean of personal sarcasm & attacks. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here on the subject, but I find that public hangings is not the way to go. Dave, if you have a beef with Al, please don't ask the forum to be split on the subject by posting emails. It's something that I've seen happen in my high school days. We're beyond that and should be representing ourselves in much higher regards. Everyone will have their opinions and under forum rules:

Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.

This also means publicly posting a PM ( PRIVATE MESSAGE ) or letter on the forums. I understand your dislike for people who ask this question time and time again, but also remember that it's a question that is asked primarily by new members who do not know how to use the search button.

To Al Gutkin, this forum promotes freedom of speech and this entitles someone to their opinion without fear of getting flamed or harassed. You have your opinion on the subject and Dave has his opinion as well and you can't take that away from him. I understand that your just excercising your freedom of speech as well with your letter and trying to make your point.

All in all, I have been on this forum for a couple of years and have heard & seen alot, sometimes we regress to a state of prepubescent kids. Let's try to move onward and keep the playground antics off the forums and start helping member's that need help, not opinions ( unless asked for ).

Plain and simple...

Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.

If any member disagrees with any ideas that any other member has, they are welcome to make their point without name calling or expletives. All posts that violate this policy will be deleted and the offending member's membership may be canceled regardless of the member's number of posts, length of membership, or experience. Everyone has the right to make their point, but we will not tolerate disrespectful or inappropriate dialog in our forums.
