I have a power accoustic 5 farad cap and when I unluck the car or open the doors or any thing that shows a current draw the neon light and digital voltmeter comes on.  How can I wire it so it does pop on when there is a current draw.

Does it just flash right quick, or does it stay on? Most likely, the current draw is so small there is no need to worry about it draining you battery or anything like that.

Another example of that FINE Power Acoustic engineering!

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

It only stays on for like a few mins.  then turns off Its just that when I unluck the car at night I don't want it to draw attention like if I was at the grocery store or the mall or walmart.   I know that neon tubes don't draw that much current that is why people can us them under there cars.  I am just more worried about it killing the battery.  Yeah if I would on known that I wouldn't of gotten it.  But I can't complain I got it brand new for $40.00

It's not gonna hurt anything. I had a cap that the charged light stayed on for 2 years. never hurt the batt. as for it drawing attention. just move it to somewhere no one can see it. One more thing you could put a circuit breaker inline so you can just trip the breaker when you park your ride.

does your cap have a screw terminal for your remote lead to plug into ur cap? some caps have some so they turn on when the amp turns on...if ur cap does where is it hooked up at ...meaning is it hooked up to the blue wire on the back of ur head unit which is there to tell ur amp when to turn on or is it hooked up somewhere else?

I have an audiobahn cap and it has no remote lead terminal and it stays on for a couple of seconds then turns off but when i open the door it does not turn on.
