parellel speaker wiring

heres my problem, i mounted a sub amp under the passanger seat and ran the subwoofer wires parellel to each other the whole way back to the trunk. now there is one part where i had to cross the wires overlaping each other so now there not parellel to each other anymore, could that be why my subs arent hitting as hard like they should?

oh yeah........, and i used an extension cord for my power wire and i had to run it on the outside of the fender by the hood opening because i couldnt find a hole in the firewall to pass it through.

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

Is the sub in a encloseure? Did you really use an extension cord for power? your kidding us right? I hope so.

This is fine as long as you used one of those outdoor extension cords instead of one designed for indoors.  And be sure to use plenty of duct tape to hold it to the car, or it can fall off and drag on the ground and then you subs won't mad pound.  If you use a screwdriver you can punch through the weatherstripping in one of your doors to run the cord back inside the car.  Also works for punching through that pesky upholstery too.
