Hello, I have a planet audio zetar amplifier. It is from the year 2000. Has the same chasis as the Big Bang amplifier. It is an 1034 watt amp rated at 12.7 volts. Which says on the "birth certificate". I would like to know if somebody else has the same amp, and what the users manual says in it about fuse size. I currently have an external 80 amp agu fuse connected. I was also told this amp is a "monster" and that it should be able to handle loads down to 1 ohm. I doubt it, and will never run it that low either. I did although measure the voltage comming out of it, and got 52 volts stereo, and 104 volts mono, with very little dc voltage coming out. I already have tried planet audio tech support, but they just gave me the:
"It will produce 1000 watts bridged at 4 ohms"
"It will produce 500 wats x 2 at 2 ohms stereo"
That tells me absolutely nothing, I think its because they went bankrupt, and now have new owners.
I don't want to use too small of fuse, or too either, because I don't want to do any harm to it. If somebody could please help me out, thanks.

Post this question on this site, www.canadiancaraudio.com and send a pm to Westec. He is the technical support rep for this line in Canada and can get you the proper information. Ensure to include the proper model# as well as there were many models in the Zetar line.

There are no fuses on this amp. Strictly external fuse only. That is why I wanted to know the proper size. I am quite familiar with car electronics. I just don't know about the fuse rating for this specific amp. That is all. But thanks for trying to help me out.

Again, there was a whole pile of Zetar amplifiers, from small to big....so what model is it? My crystal ball needs to be recharged and I don't know how to use the force to figure this out.
