Removed the stock stereo from this van, and installed an aftermarket Kenwood, using the wiring adapter for this van.

One thing I noticed, is that the lights dinger, low fuel dinger, and stay active after key off, only work with the stock stereo. I take it there is an additional circuit they added in this stereo?

Is there a way to get these features back? The Kenwood also has to have the ignition key turned forward enough for the dashboard lights to illuminate before it will work. The stock stereo, you barely turn the key forward, and it comes on. Is this something that can be changed as well?

Charles!

you need the chime box or the harness that relocates the factory radio and adds a speaker to make the chimes work.  i believe it is between 100-150 dollars depending on where and which one you get.  the second problem may be solved when you do that because it will use the data wire as the ignition and not a different one you caught

If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.
