Is there a speical way to install any aftermaket components in the 98 deville base model no bose no amp because recently installed a radio into a 98 deville now the customer tell me after a few hours the car seems to be in sleep mode. What am I 2 do should someway leave the factory radio in somehow.

Yes, you need to relocate the factory radio.

i'm not familiar with 98's needing a relocation. JAy if you could explain more so what's going on it'd be alot easier to help you out. I.e. what exactly is going on and after the components, or after the deck did this problem occur?

Well I had the car for a day or two now and it seem like it is not consistent it only does after the car sits over a long period of time. ( a hour or two) But the car conpentents work fine after you start the car. Without starting the the aftermarket alarm won't respond. So I tried ran a sperate 12volt to the alarm and radio and now it respond but the car seems to still be in sleep mode I.e. No dome light cluster resets etc.

what data module did you use when you installed the HU?

i think you just answered your own question..... use the GMRC-03 for a stable, proper install.....

Help the gmrc-03 harnass is different then my 98 deville harness this gmrc03 harness has got to be at least for a 01- 02 or something. I had this one guy send my a wiring diagrams on relocating my radio but my factory wire harness is not long enough for that what do I do? Any ideas please help this starting 2 be a pain every morning this happens 2 me.
