Ok I just installed a new kenwood KDC-328 in a 2004 ford explorer.  I added the sir-ken1 sirius satellite radio tuner.  My question is this.  If I had a kenwood aux cable to the sirius unit (in the cd changer port) that converts to rca cables  and i plug my ipod into the rca cables, will the HU realize this as an aux input?

Also there were two cables that were connected into the factory hu, and only one cable the connects into the KDC-328.  Is the other plug just for the sterring wheel controls?  Or is the temp and cruise control hooked into this also?

as for the first question, the Kenwood head "should" be able to recconize the aux input, just by pressing the source button on the head unit. as for the second question, the second plug in the truck is for things like the steering wheel controls and things like that that don't need to be connected for the aftermarket radio to work.
